RACE DETAILS
The going was so soft, after a Spring and Summer of almost continuous rain, that the winning time was 3 minutes 10 seconds, the slowest in the history of the race. However, it still proved to be a spectacle worth waiting for, with the two unbeaten colts of the previous season going head to head. In the event Soulouque prevailed by just a length from Shinglass, the pair finishing a distance clear of the rest.
